Job Overview 

TheSocial Media Managerhas a passion for tea and a desire to deepen their knowledge of tea and the tea community.In this role, youwill capture, post, and engage on social media on behalf of Hugo Tea. You are tasked with creative storytelling across Instagram and Facebook, communicating a sense of community,anddriving interest and awareness toestablish Hugo Tea at coffee shops and cafesnationwide.  

Whatyou’ll do.  

  • Be a brand storyteller.Workwith the brand manager and product team to promote and post about current & new offerings. Bring Hugo Tea to life by sharing café customer’s real-life Hugo offerings.   

  • Keep social pagesup to date.Monitor andoptimize social media pages, including updating bios, images, backgrounds,etc. 

  • Manage the social community.Respond to questions on posts/DMs,reshare relevant tagged IG story content,and engage with other like-minded brands across the industry on behalf of Hugo Tea.  

 

How Success is Measured

  • Content is planned and approved in Notion calendar prior to posting 

  • Post frequency will bedetermined based on the strategy and season but on average:

    • Instagram& Facebook2-3xfeed postsper week (includesoriginal photo and video content) 

    • Instagram & Facebook5+stories per week (includes reposting feed and tagged content) 

    • LinkedIn Feed Posts: 2-3 per month 

  • Community management 

    • Respond to questions (in comments or DM) within one business day.  

    • Engage with tags/mentions, reposting as appropriate 

    • Proactively engage with Hugo customer accounts andlike-minded creators in the tea space (e.g., liking and commenting on posts of Wholesale customers) 

 

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Passion forspecialty tea. 

  • Knowledgeable in social media trends.  

  • Is self-directed and enjoys connecting & collaborating with our café team and customers.  

 

Perks & Compensation 

  • This role isa contract (1099) positionpaid$750/mo.
